LUOGHI DEL VENTO, VIAGGIO NELLE MEMORIE SOSPESE

Per il lavoro “I Luoghi del vento”, per l’accurata ricerca di edifici e spazi abbandonati in diversi paesi d’Europa, per la sensibilità e l’intelligenza nell’aver saputo ritrarli con rispetto nell’integrità del loro stato di conservazione, restituendone la bellezza.

Luoghi del vento, viaggio nelle memorie sospese

“Ti sei mai chiesto cosa c’è oltre quella porta chiusa, dove forse il tempo si è fermato?” Luoghi del vento nasce come progetto personale e portfolio e nel 2015 si sviluppa come progetto di tesi. L’idea di realizzare il lavoro legato al tema degli edifici abbandonati è voluto, poiché Ylenia vuole mostrare uno scorcio di un mondo che circonda ogni individuo, ma è celato ai suoi occhi, poiché gli stabili in disuso sono attorno a noi e in tutto il mondo. Spesso questi edifici sono oggetto di scarsa considerazione, poiché ritenuti ambienti sporchi, pericolanti e privi di fascino. Al loro interno però, dietro i cancelli sbarrati e le porte chiuse, si cela la magia e la memoria di questi luoghi sospesi nel tempo. Il progetto fotografico ha avuto inizio nel 2013 e ad oggi è sempre in evoluzione; le fotografie, presenti nel progetto, sono state scattate in Europa e precisamente in tre nazioni: Svizzera, Italia e Belgio. L’intento di Ylenia è di portare avanti questo lavoro e di ampliarlo sempre più. Le fotografie presentate sono state scattare all’interno di diverse tipologie d’ambienti, come ad esempio: edifici residenziali, ecclesiastici, industriali, sanitari, etc. L’intento del lavoro è di mostrare, attraverso le fotografie, lo stato attuale dei diversi luoghi dove la memoria è viva per mezzo d’immagini capaci di far vivere nuovamente la struttura nonostante l’avanzare del decadimento. Allo stesso modo, Ylenia, vuole incuriosire e sorprendere i fruitori, mostrando ambienti inaspettati e a volte surreali, ma capaci di evocare emozioni. Le fotografie vogliono trasmettere bellezza, diversità, storia, magia e rappresentano uno strumento di conservazione della memoria. Mostrano il valore di luoghi dimenticati che vivono ancora i loro fasti in una dimensione sospesa, ovattata e senza tempo.

“Have you ever asked yourself what is beyond a closed door, where the time maybe stopped?” Buildings of the wind, it began as a personal project, and in 2015 it developed as a graduation thesis project. The idea of a abandoned buildins’ photography project is intended because Ylenia wants to show an hidden space and because the inhabited properties are all over the world. Often these places are not taken into consideration, because they are just seen as dirty ambience, dangerous and charmless. But in their interior, behind closed doors and barred gates, are hidden the magic and the memory of these places suspended in time. The photographic project started in 2013 and today is still in production; the shots of the job were taken in Europe, specifically in three countries: Switzerland, Italy and Belgium. Ylenia’s intent is to continue this work and expand it more and more. The photographs have been taken in different types of buildings such as: residential buildings, ecclesiastical, industrial, etc. The work’s object is to show, through photographs, the current status of places where memory is still alive, to be able to give life again to the structure by the use of immages, after his deterioration progress. In the same time, Ylenia wants to arouse curiosity and surprise people, showing unexpected and sometimes surreal ambiences, which are still able to give emotions. Photographs want to spread beauty, diversity, history, magic and they rapresent a medium of memory conservation. The photos show the important value of forgotten places which still live their glories in a suspended dimension, pudded and timeless
